Who we are
We are a Multi-Cultural, Non-Denominational, Spirit Filled, Evangelistic Church. We fellowship with the Body of Christ, preaching the overcoming victorious message of the Lordship of Jesus. We anoint with oil and pray for the sick to be healed. We have liberty in the Holy Spirit to praise, worship, sing, dance, pray and testify … for the glory of God and the building up of others. And we believe that the gifts and callings of God are still in operation today.
Our History
God called our founding pastors, J.D. & Judi Williams to start Earthen Vessels Evangelism in 1977. The goal of this ministry has always been to lift up Jesus. Brother & Sister Williams taught by word and deed that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, and that He still saves, heals and delivers. The work that the Williams started continues today at Shekinah Christian Assembly.
Joe & Tracy Garrett came to Shekinah in 1989 and 1990, respectively. They began serving God's people with a retirement home ministry in 1991, followed by becoming the Youth Pastors in 1995. In 2005, they took over the role of lead pastors, where they served together until the Lord took Tracy home in 2023.
